1 package (8 oz) crabmeat or
imitation crabmeat, thawed
1/2 cup light mayonnaise
1/4 cup sliced green onions
6 ounces shredded Swiss cheese
(about 1 1/2 cups)
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/4 teaspoon paprika
20 slices sourdough or French bread
baguette, (about 3-inches wide)
Shred or coarsely chop the crabmeat.
In a medium sized bowl, stir together the crabmeat and all remaining ingredients except the bread.
Place the bread slices on a large baking sheet.
Broil 5 to 6 inches from the heat until toasted.
Turn the bread slices over, then spread about 1 tablespoon of crabmeat mixture on each slice.
Broil 5 to 6 inches from the heat until cheese is bubbly.
Serve right away.
