Fort Lauderdale

Experience fun in the sun in Fort Lauderdale!

Young people from around the world equate Fort Lauderdale with Spring Break, and with good reason - every spring, Fort Lauderdale plays host to thousands of people from all over the US and around the world.

But there is much more to Fort Lauderdale than just spring break. Boasting 23 miles of magnificent beaches and thousands of hours of sunshine, the Fort Lauderdale area (often called the "Venice of America") is a favorite tourist destination for almost 7 million people annually!

Fort Lauderdale area beaches:

  • Hollywood Beach is fronted by 2 1/2 miles of oceanfront boardwalk that is open to runners, walkers, and bicyclists. Hollywood beach is very popular due to its casual atmosphere and loads of free entertainment!

  • Deerfield Beach (in Broward county) features quaint, cove-style beaches. It's balmy evening breezes and luscious tropical vegetation entice those who are more laid back to walk along the warm surf in the evening. Deerfield beach hosts powerboat races throughout the summer.

  • Pompano Beach has 3 1/2 miles of "family friendly" beaches. You'll find activities designed for families, including family-style dining and several playgrounds. Each year Pompano Beach hosts the Pompano Seafood Festival and Fishing Rodeo.
Fort Lauderdale offers plenty of fun, sun, and excitement for young and old alike. Free entertainment, great food, and a vibrant nightlife await all who plan to visit Fort Lauderdale!
