The Goodyear Blimp At Sunset

Sunsets can be quite spectacular in Chester, SC, and today's picture features a pretty dramatic one backlighting the silhouette of a Goodyear Blimp. Amy and Gene drive to Chester to skydive virtually every weekend so they get plenty of great opportunities to see breathtaking scenes like this one. Their friend Shaggio snapped this photo as a blimp drifted by. It isn't at all unusual to spot a blimp floating around a major city, but sightings over small towns are rare. They do float above the countryside as they travel from city to city however, and I suspect such was the case with this one - most likely it was on its way from Charlotte, NC to another city in the southeastern United States. Chester is known for people dropping out of the sky, but as this picture shows it's hard to say just what you might see when you look up while visiting the Palmetto State!   Picture Of The Day Homepage | Submit a photo Interesting Articles
