Cowboy Church In Mountain City, TN

Cowboy Church in Mountain City, TN

My wife and I were driving down a country road just outside of Mountain City, TN when we saw this sign for Victory Chapel Cowboy Church. Intrigued, we pulled into the driveway and parked our car in front of the sign. We looked around, but all we could see was what appeared to be a horse barn - there was no church building in sight.

I didn't know whether the sign was meant as a joke or if the Cowboy Church holds its services inside the barn. Either way, I thought the sign was interesting enough to warrant being featured as a Picture Of The Day.

The scenic town of Mountain City, TN is the county seat of Johnson County. It lies approximately 11 miles due south of Damascus, Virginia and just 20 miles north of the resort town of Boone, North Carolina. It's proximity to these popular destinations combined with it's own natural beauty makes Mountain City a great place for a country vacation. And if you happen to be in town on a Sunday or Thursday you can check out the Cowboy Church for yourself!
