Luckily, there are scientists out there who spend their time learning how we can best do that.  So, for you scrambling, desperate students out there, here are the best study tips that science can give us:

1 – Don’t Cram

I know, now you hate me, but I’ve got to get it out of the way.  The truth of the matter is that cramming can actually damage what learning you’ve already done.  Your brain gets a bit fried and starts making stuff up, just to make you stop. [Read more…]

Five Signs Your Roof May Need Replacing

Posted on March 6, 2012

When contemplating whether you should, need, or must replace your roof it can be difficult to remove yourself from the equation and simply look at the facts. However, physical evidence that your roof needs replacing is not the only knowledge you need to factor into your decision. Is your heating bill higher than average? A good roof can cut costs almost in half. If you notice your bill is rising, it might be time to consider biting the bullet. That’s just one of many reasons you should consider replacing your roof.

The following is a list of five telltale signs that your roof will need to be replaced:

1 – Curling shingles

When singles start to curl or claw it means they are becoming too rigid and may break off in a heavy wind or ice storm. Shingles usually begin to curl due to excessive heat or old age. Tips for Getting Started in Computer Networking

Posted on March 6, 2012

Many current or future IT people decide to take the plunge and enter the computer networking field. However, this is a very difficult industry to start out in and you have to gain experience before you will be considered for a higher level position.

However, these days there is much more to the process of fixing something. [Read more…]

How to Rock Red Lipstick

Posted on March 5, 2012

Lips, along with eyes, are the most noticed area on the face, therefore smeared and faded red lipstick is clearly out of the question. The most obvious way to make one’s lipstick endure the challenges of an average day is to have quality makeup.
