Toyota recalls 2007-2011 Tundras

Toyota recently issued a recall notice for Toyota Tundras manufactured between 2007 and 2011, due to faulty tire pressure monitoring systems. The faulty systems may cause the warning lamp that indicates under inflated tires to malfunction by not lighting up.

According to Toyota, the recall affects approximately 1,629 Tundras distributed by Southeast Toyota Distributors. Owners of trucks that may be affected are being notified by Toyota, and told to make an appointment with their dealer. The dealer can easily fix the system by recalibrating it.

Tips for teaching your teen how to drive

If you are teaching your teen to drive, you need all the help you can get. Many people throw their hands in the air and just send their kids to driving school or hire a driving instructor, but if you are intent upon teaching your teen yourself here are a few tips on driving that should help you out:

Learning how to drive can be divided into five stages. The first stage does not actually involve driving itself. You need to teach your teen about cars in general. Even though your teenager has been sitting in cars and watching others drive for the last sixteen years or so, they probably have little to no idea about how to actually work the car. For example, when some teens first get into the car they use both feet to pump the gas and brake pedals instead of just using one and alternating.

Saving money on car repairs

Far too many body shops charge ridiculously high prices for repairs that could be done for far less money by someone who is being honest about the price, or even by yourself! That’s right, many of the little things we take our car to the body shop for are things you can fix yourself, allowing your to save money on car repairs.

For example, if you need to replace your windshield wipers, you can easily do it yourself. Just head over to your local Wal-Mart or auto parts store and grab a pair. Just make sure to match the windshield wipers to your type of car because if you get the wrong kind, they won’t fit correctly. The wiper blade itself snaps on quite easily and you won’t need any tools.
