Summer fun for your kids – and you!

Posted on April 17, 2011

It’s a fact of life that we’re all waiting anxiously for the warmth and sunshine of summer to arrive. Along with that warmth comes summer vacation for most school children. Nearly three months out of the year, most schools are not in operation. While that’s a long awaited treat for both children and parents, the fact is that once summertime is in full swing, the heat has forced some of us indoors and the daily interaction with other children begins to be missed. In fact, aprons often reflect the personality of the wearer from the serious chef to the stylish housewife to the incompetent Dad at the barbeque to the cheeky chappy with the statue of David apron. Increasingly new designs are coming out so we asked ourselves the question – should there be a season for aprons. Which aprons reflect the different months and if you are going to be in fashion, what should your apron look like.

We have put together a short guide to what you should wear for each of the seasons, ranging from the bright, vibrant colors in the spring and summer, to the more natural and demur colors of autumn and winter. Of course, we have also tried to reflect some of the key events and a few embarrassing aprons too.
