Phantom Performing In Abingdon, Virginia
For ten straight years the popular band Phantom has been the featured
group at the Virginia Highlands Festival in Abingdon,
Virginia. Their enthusiastic performances of 60's and 70's Rock and Roll
classics always leave the crowd wanting to hear more, and last night's concert
at the Abingdon Arts Depot was no exception.
Thousands of friendly people brought folding chairs and sat out under the stars
enjoying a balmy evening of timeless music from yesteryear. Many of them got up,
grabbed a partner and danced the night away, allowing themselves to drift back
to another time.
Phantom has a well-deserved reputation for really pleasing a crowd. One of the most popular groups in the area, they
headline fairs and festivals of all types all over the Mountain Empire and
beyond. Not bad for a bunch of country boys from Damascus,
Va who just enjoy playing a little Rock & Roll for a few thousand of
their closest friends!
