Wintery View Of Niagara Falls
The awesome power and spectacular views of
Niagara Falls are unmatched in their
ability to forge a lasting mental image that stays with you forever. Niagara's
precipice is one of the few places on the face of the earth where all of your
senses are maxed out at the same time!
If you have ever visited Niagara Falls, you no doubt remember the sight of the
enormous cascading wall of water, the deafening roar, the feeling
of the fine mist on your skin and the taste and smell of the misty air. A
Niagara vacation simply cannot be described in a way that does it justice.
Today's picture features a wintery view of the horseshoe-shaped Canadian side of
Niagara Falls - the most photographed waterfall in the world. As you can see,
the air is thick with the ever-present mist and a blanket of snow covers
everything except for the water itself. Even the river freezes up during the
occasional extra-harsh winter, forming a thick, hard crust over the rushing
water! It really makes for quite a sight!
Most people visit Niagara Falls in the summertime, but the magic of Niagara is
all the more special during the winter...if you don't mind braving the cold
temperatures and deep snows of the northern New York / Ontario region. One thing
is certain: If you visit Niagara Falls during winter, the experience will stay
with you for the rest of your life!
