Burruss Hall At Virginia Tech

Burruss Hall - Virginia Tech

Virginia Tech is one of the nation's top institutions of higher learning. This sprawling campus of 25,000+ students is famous the world over for its top-notch engineering and agriculture programs which draw students from virtually every corner of the globe to the small western Virginia town of Blacksburg.

Our daughter Amy is an alumna of Virginia Tech, and since her graduation ceremony was held in Burruss Hall she asked us to take a picture of it during our recent visit to Blacksburg. The result is today's picture.

The Swine Center at Virginia TechAmy has very fond memories of her years at Tech, and she is a major Hokies fan to this day. She enjoys collecting Virginia Tech memorabilia...and pigs - her home is decorated with them. Small pigs, large pigs, metal pigs, glass pigs, porcelain pigs...

Her love of all things porcine grew out of her work in the Swine Center at Tech where she cared for...you guessed it - pigs.

Cheria and I are very proud of Amy. She worked very hard and used her many natural abilities to excel in her studies, and today she has a great job and comfortable lifestyle to show for it. Amy is proud of her achievements as well, and she will forever cherish her time as a Virginia Tech student.
