Zayne Skinner Performing On The Pickin' Porch Show

Today's picture features young Zayne Skinner wearing out his mandolin while performing with the Jason Skinner Family Bluegrass Group during last night's Pickin' Porch show. Bluegrass music is in Zane's blood - his dad sings lead and plays a mean guitar and banjo while mom joins in on rhythm guitar.

Zayne is just one example of how the love of Bluegrass music is being passed on to the next generation all across our region. The Pickin' Porch, the Carter Family Fold and other local venues where Bluegrass is played often showcase the tremendous young talent growing up here.

The Pickin' Porch Show is hosted by "your Bluegrass buddy" Tim White. You can enjoy the show live every Thursday evening at 7:00pm in the Comfort Systems Performance Center on the upper level of the Bristol Mall.
