Step-by-step instructions for creating a boot floppy with Windows XP

There are times when a boot floppy disk can come in handy. Windows XP makes it very easy to create a boot floppy if you don't have one lying around somewhere.

Follow these steps to create a boot floppy with Windows XP:

  1. Place a blank floppy disk in the A: drive
  2. Double-click My Computer
  3. Click Format
  4. Check the box beside Create an MS-DOS startup disk
  5. Click Ok
Your boot floppy will now be created, and you can use it in any PC, not just those running Windows XP!
