Windows XP: How To Turn On The StickyKeys Feature

How to enable the StickyKeys feature in Windows XP

Windows XP uses quite a few keyboard shortcut key combinations to perform various tasks, including the famous CTRL-ALT-DEL for displaying the Task manager.

But some people have difficulty pressing more than one key at a time for whatever reason. Windows XP includes a handy feature called StickyKeys that lets you press the keys used in the shortcut combination one at a time instead of all at once.

Here's how to enable Windows XP's StickyKeys feature:

  1. Press the Shift key five times in a row. A dialog box will appear asking if you want to enable StickyKeys.
  2. Click Ok
StickyKeys is now enabled. To turn StickyKeys off, simply repeat step 1 above and click Cancel.
