Spanish Punctuation

Beginning Spanish: A basic course in the Spanish language

Punctuation in the Spanish language is very similar to English. The Spanish language punctuation marks include:

.   (period)
,   (comma)
()  (parentheses)
;   (semi-colon)
:   (colon)

¿?  Spanish questions use double question marks. The first
one is inverted and it goes at the beginning of the
     question.

¡!   Spanish exclamation points work the same as question
     marks.

   (Great!)
