Sapling Grove Bluegrass Band

Today's picture features Sapling Grove Bluegrass Band performing at last night's Tuesday evening Bluegrass concert at the Downtown Center on Bristol, VA-TN's State Street. The bands usually perform on the stage beneath the Country Music mural, but what was left of Hurricane Katrina threatened to douse everyone with rain and ruin the sound system so the show was moved onto the porch of the concession stand.

Sapling Grove is a very good Bluegrass group. They entertained the audience with several old Bluegrass favorites before it finally began to rain and the crowd began to scatter.

A local favorite, Sapling Grove frequently performs all over the region at festivals, special events and on The Pickin' Porch Show with Tim White. If you ever have the opportunity to catch one of their shows, I highly recommend that you do so. Bluegrass music is always good - Sapling Grove's performances make it sound great!
