Cheese Squares

           Ingredients:           

1 cup of soft butter or margarine
2 jars (5oz.) Old English cheese,
   spread
1 egg
1 can (4 oz.) chopped green chilies,
   drained
1/4 cup salsa
8 oz. shredded cheddar cheese
2 loaves thin-sliced sandwich bread
   with the crusts removed
               Directions:             

In a mixing bowl, mix the butter, cheese spread, and egg until smooth.

Stir in the chilies, salsa, and cheese.

Spread about 1 tb of the mixture on each slice of one loaf of the bread. Top with the remaining bread and spread with more of the cheese mixture.

Cut each sandwich into four squares, and place on a greased baking sheet.

Bake at 350 degrees F for 10 to 15 minutes.

To freeze: Place in a single layer on a baking sheet and freeze for 1 hour.

Remove from the baking sheet and store in the freezer in an airtight container until needed.

To bake frozen, place the squares on a greased baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees F for 15 to 20 minutes or until bubbly and browned.
