Caribbean Seasoned Pork Steaks

           Ingredients:

Servings: Serves 4 people

5 garlic cloves
1/2 yellow onion
1 celery stalk, chopped
2 jalapeño pepper
1/4 cup fresh thyme, loosely packed
1/4 cup fresh lime juice
4 pork loin, steaks, each 1 1/2" thick

               Directions:

In a food processor, combine the onion, garlic, green pepper, celery, jalapeño, parsley, thyme, lime juice, salt and pepper. Blend into a paste.

Combine the marinade with the meat in a mixing bowl. Let it marinate for 30 minutes or up to 24 hours.

Preheat broiler to 400 degrees F or over medium heat.

If broiling, roast the pork on a rack on an oven tray for 10 minutes on each side.

Cook the pork until an internal temperature of 165 degrees F is reached. Cooked pork should be firm and white throughout. (Baste the pork with extra marinade as steaks are just turned.)
