Mom's Back Yard Deer

Much of my family gathered at moms house on Sunday for a very special Mother's Day meal. Her place was virtually overrun with kids, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends of the family, but that didn't deter a couple of four-legged friends from entering her yard for a meal of their own...

As my brother and his wife were walking to their car, they noticed these two young deer grazing in her yard near the fence. They must not have been too concerned about the presence of humans because he had plenty of time to grab his camera, replace the fixed lens with a zoom lens, and then shoot several dozen pictures of the dining animals. In fact, he had to walk towards them to get them to run away!

Mom always loves for a big crowd to assemble for special meals at her place, and that's exactly what she got on Sunday. And why not? Everyone knows there is always an open invitation at mom's house...and that invitation includes wildlife as well as humans!
