Yosemite's Merced River

This amazing photo of the Merced was taken as the photographer was hiking through Yosemite one morning. The light streaming through the trees added a warm glow that greatly enhanced the already unbelievable natural beauty of the area. Wanting the image to convey the way the scene actually looked to him that morning, he did a little tweaking and today's picture is the result! The Merced River is beloved for more than just its beauty - it also offers one of the world's best whitewater rafting experiences! As Ansel Adams showed the world many years ago, Yosemite's scenery is simply unmatched.
