Just Married!

Marriage is a joyous tradition that has been in practice for thousands of years - the union of a man and a woman who pledge their unconditional love and devotion to one another for the rest of their lives. Yesterday afternoon, my wife and I had the joy of witnessing the marriage of our daughter Tami to her husband Rob. It was a beautiful outdoor ceremony in the Abingdon, Virginia town park on a perfect mid-September day. Tami was stunning in her flowing white wedding dress and ear-to-ear smile that only a happy bride can produce. And of course there was Olivia, her ten year old daughter - maid of honor...our precious granddaughter who looked just as beautiful as her mom! The ceremony went off without a hitch, then the bride and groom prepared to ride off into their new life together, which brings us to the Picture Of The Day... My brother Glen provided his dune buggy for use as a special coach - mules would never do! It was quite a sight watching Tami climb in given the fact that there were no doors and she was hampered by what seemed like about 1,000 feet of wedding dress. But get in she did with the aid of her new hubby, and just like in the movies and romance novels they rode off to begin their life of wedded bliss with hair and veil blowing in the wind!   Picture Of The Day Homepage | Submit a photo Interesting Articles
