Jason Skinner On The Pickin' Porch Show

Jason Skinner picking his banjo.

Today's picture features Jason Skinner, a very nice guy who simply loves pickin' and singin' Bluegrass music. Jason is an accomplished musician who plays multiple instruments, and he is doing his best to pass his love for Bluegrass onto his talented children Zane and Alyssa - and he seems to be doing a great job!

At just 10 years of age, Zane is already well on his way to becoming an accomplished mandolin player while 7 year old Alyssa is already wowing audiences with some pretty darn good dobro work. The Skinner kids are just as cute as they can be and they are obviously very talented!

Jason, his wife Jennifer and the kids perform together as "The Skinner Family". They grace the Pickin' Porch stage quite often and they always leave the audience with a big smile on their faces. But the biggest smile of all belongs to Jason when he watches proudly as Zane and Alyssa play their instruments. While family Bluegrass bands are common, "The Skinner Family" is special. These wonderful folks share an obvious love for the music and each other, and Cheria and I just love watching them perform.
