The Virginia Creeper Trail - Damascus, VA

The weather was absolutely beautiful yesterday in Damascus, Virginia so I decided to take my camera and go for a walk along the Virginia Creeper Trail. I snapped today's picture just as a group of bikers were crossing the trestle over Beaver Dam Creek. Damascus has become a haven for those who enjoy outdoor activities - especially hiking and biking. Several of the country's most scenic trails pass through or converge at Damascus, including the spectacular Creeper Trail. As a result, several bike rental shops and outfitters have opened their doors here in recent years and they all stay very busy. Biking the Virginia Creeper Trail is easy - just bring your own bike or rent one at one of Damascus' bike rental shops.
