Drying Your Clothes On A Clothesline

Using a clothesline is cheaper, simpler, and
makes your clothes smell fresher!

For years, wash day meant taking the dirty laundry throwing it in the washer and then into the dryer. Most of the time, it was then put in a basket (not folded), and then would find its way to the bedrooms or linen closet. Because the clothes had not been folded of course the iron had to come out. This certainly is not simplicity!

Today, we still use our washer just as often, but, the dryer is not used a lot. We have a clothesline we use to hang out our clothes. The clothes get folded as they come off the line, and I should add, they smell great...no dryer sheet smell!

I can remember hanging clothes out as a child. Hanging out clothes was a chore back then, but now I find it relaxing to be out early in the morning hanging out the clothes.

In addition, we are saving on electricity from not using the dryer and the iron. And, of course, we no longer need dryer sheets!

Whether you live in the country or the city, if you are allowed to put up a clothes line, we would highly recommend it. Not only will you save money, but also your clothes will smell fresh and you just might enjoy the tranquility of hanging out the clothes! Now this is simplicity!
