Should Christian Singles Use Personal Ads?
When it comes to dating, many Christian singles face a dilemma when it comes to looking for a mate: should they confine their search to churches and other places where Christian singles are likely to be found, or is it ok to use personal ads?
2 Corinthians 6:14 states:
"Be ye not unequally yoked together with
unbelievers: for what fellowship hath
righteousness with unrighteousness? and
what communion hath light with darkness?"
This passage of scripture has many Christian singles unsure about what is proper and what isn't in regards to finding a dating partner (and potential spouse).
Christian personal ads are an acceptable means for finding a date. Here's why:
- You are much more likely to encounter other believers through a personal ad on a Christian singles website than you are by mingling with the general public.
- The other people who use Christian personals are obviously looking for the same type of person you are.
- Finding prospective Christian dating partners through personal ads gives you a chance to talk to the other parties and get to know a bit about them before actually meeting them.
