Cat On A Fish Tank

Today's picture features my granddaughter Olivia's cat Daisy lying on top of the fish tank. The fish appear to be oblivious, unaware that a nemesis is just a few inches above them.

Like any cat, Daisy would love to get her paws on those fish, but she has apparently resigned herself to the fact that she can't get to them. She does love spending lots of quality time near them however, as evidenced by this photo.

Cats are notorious for catching fish at every opportunity, so Olivia keeps a plastic cover over the fish tank to keep the other pets out. My guess is Daisy enjoys the heat provided by the lamp attached to the underside of the cover.

Olivia and her mom enjoy having pets around the house. In addition to the fish and Daisy, there is another cat named Crackers, two playful beagles named Oscar and Cindy, Brownie the guinea pig, four turtles and several snails. It seems like the family will never quit growing!
