Bumblebee Working On A Flower

Photo of a bumblebee working on a flower

Nature is a wonderful thing. Today's photo shows this in vivid color as we witness a bumblebee working on a beautiful flower.

While honeybees work on flowers and create honey from the nectar, bumblebees actually work on flowers that have no nectar! As bees go, the bumblebee is one of the most colorful and beautiful bees on the planet (but they can certainly cause considerable pain and discomfort if they sting you).

Bees of all varieties help us out by pollinating flowers, garden plants, fruit trees and more. I guess you can say that bees are our friends in many ways.
