Mom's New Birdfeeder

Birds have always been very special creatures for my dad and mom. I believe they loved them so much because Noah released a dove in order to find out if the waters from the great flood had receded from the earth. Of course they could have loved them simply for their beauty, but I doubt it. Mom and dad loved to sit and watch the birds dine at their birdfeeder in the wintertime, and now that dad has passed on mom sits and watches them while thinking about him. She always keeps her birdfeeder filled up with bird seed so there is always plenty for her avian friends to eat when they visit. Cheria and I were visiting mom a few days ago when we noticed that her birdfeeder had deteriorated to the point where she had to hold it together with strips of cloth. We made a trip to K-Mart and bought a pretty metal birdfeeder to replace hers with. I took a picture of it and it turned out to be today's "Picture Of The Day". Now mom can look out her large glass doors and watch her beloved birds eat from the shiny new birdfeeder with her "crooked tree" as a backdrop!   Picture Of The Day Homepage | Submit a photo Interesting Articles
