Foggy Barn Scene

Drive down most any road in rural America and you're likely to see an old barn. Aging monuments to our nation's agricultural heritage, these old barns serve as reminders of how this country was built - long days consumed by hard work coupled with a vision for a better life for our children. Many of these old barns are falling down and withering away, but what they represent will endure forever: the pride and spirit of the heartland. Today's photo was taken by my brother on a foggy January morning as he peered out his back door near historic Jonesborough, TN. With the misty woods in the background, the old barn stands tall, just waiting for another crop of hay or tobacco.
